"The Woidrockers": from radio to the big screen

The Woidrockers tell us in this interview why friendship brings the right mood on stage and how it feels to perform with show stars like Roberto Blanco or Andy Borg.
With 5 guys and one girl in the band you are a strong group. How or where did you meet each other?
The band exists since 2010, founded by our keyboarder Christian and our drummer Mathias. As it is so common, you know each other in the music business and so then also results in one or the other great collaboration at a musician's meeting or so. And if it fits as well as it does with our rockers, then of course it's just great!
Woid Rocker - der Bayerische Wahnsinn: How do you live up to your subtitle?
That is quite simple, the name is program with us! From the first minute we are on stage, until the last, there is full throttle music that comes from the heart. Everyone gives his best and we always try to carry away all people with our music and make them happy :D
That is of course the goal of every band! What do you personally appreciate about your band? Where are your strengths?
Clearly the human component. We simply fit together very well in our private lives and are friends. I think it's important that you understand each other not only musically, but also in your private life. Then you can give gas on the stage completely differently, and the people also notice that...there the spark jumps over immediately! We remain absolutely flexible with regard to the events as well as the music styles. With Bavarian traditional songs, hits as well as pop, rock and charts we arrange everything from weddings to club and Oktoberfests to open airs on radio and TV.
It's just always a great experience to be on stage with show stars!
With the versatility it remains of course always exciting! There are two titles in your discography. Are you already planning further songs?
With the versatility it remains of course always exciting! There are two titles in your discography. Are you already planning further songs?
At the moment we concentrate more on the LIVE stories. An album will be released at the end of 2017 ;-)
We're looking forward to that, of course! Is there anything you and your colleagues are particularly looking forward to in 2016?
One of the biggest highlights this year was certainly our WoidRocker Spring Festival in Blaibach together with Andy Borg. On 30.04.2016, the after show party of the Golden Sun Awards of Sonnenklar TV is on the program, which will certainly be a great experience again (with among others Roberto Blanco, Gloria Gray).
Most of all we are looking forward to the Oktoberfest tour through Hamburg and Switzerland in October. Oh yes....ab 03.06.2016 there will be a local cinema film also there we will be seen and heard as a band WoidRocker. The film is called: We regulate in Boarish, we are all looking forward to it ☺.
Fantastic! Your performance with Andy Borg was also a complete success. How does it feel to be on stage with the star?
Andy is pretty uncomplicated, down-to-earth and incredibly funny ☺ It's always a great experience to be on stage with show stars like him and to make people happy together. Andy is a really great guy!
